The oldest cheese from Normandy, created by Cistercian monks in the twelfth century. Soft, fragrant and really good, this cow's milk cheese washed rind and slightly flowery owes its name to the town of Pont l'Eveque, in the Department of Calvados.


Excellent pastures, cattle breeds important and great skill dairy contributed over the centuries to increase the fame of this cheese, which together with Camembert and Livarot, identifies the dairy heritage of Normandy.
