The white tuna (Thunnus alalunga) is a fish appreciated for the delicacy of its meat, firm and tasty, as well as low in fat, with an excellent protein content and a high Omega-3 content. Its prized meat is also appreciated for its light color, hence the name.
Lover of great depths, it is fished in northern Spain, in the Cantabrian Sea, in the spring period when this tuna rises to the surface during the period of reproduction.
