The Company Ballot-Millot, family run, is located in Meursault where it owns its finest Crus. It also offers one of the best and most "delicious illustrations" of all the Côte de Beaune: soft and fruity in the great white wines of Meursault and Chassagne Montrachet, richness and delicacy in the legendary wines of Pommard, Volnay and Beaune. From the seventeenth century the generations follow each other and work with passion to keep the corporate entity and increase its reputation. Since 2000 Charles Ballot, fifteenth generation winemakers, which perpetuates this tradition, helped by his father Philippe. Very close to nature, Charles returned to the old methods of traditional agriculture. For 10 years, the vineyards are plowed (the chemical herbicides are totally excluded). Regarding the treatments, they are homeopathic and analyzed. In anticipation of future organic farming is seriously considered. The vine is pruned with much rigor, Charles favors rather the control of yields during the spring instead of the thinning of the grapes in the fall.
