A decidedly interesting wine that presents itself to the eye with a beautiful intense ruby color and which captures the nose with floral, fruity and spicy notes. Even in the mouth it is soft and enveloping with a precise finish that then returns to the typically peppery notes of the type.
It goes very well with cheeses and preparations with important flavors; obviously it goes very well with all the red meats.
This Crozes-Hermitage is produced between the towns of Pont de l'Isère in the south and Serves s / Rhône in the north, exactly in the heart of the Denomination. The vine is 100% Syrah, planted on clayey, calcareous and pebbly soils. The harvest includes exclusive manual harvesting, with careful selection of the grapes.
After the total destemming, fermentation takes place in contact with the skins for 20 days in thermoregulated cement tanks, with punching down and pumping every morning and evening. The aging then proceeds for 8-10 months in 7 hl ovoid cement tanks.
The Domaine Combier is property of the Combier family, winemakers for generations in this highly suited area for the production of quality wines. In 1963 Maurice and Paulette Combier built what is the current site of the Domaine, which has never ceased to grow and to grow qualitatively.
In 1970 the Company adopted the concept of Organic Agriculture, with Ecocert certification.
Hence the permanent search for a natural balance in the cultivation of the vineyard for the protection of the territory. All this allows the Domaine Combier today to benefit from a wealth of exceptional quality land and vineyards.
