Etyssa is an emerging reality in the production of the Trento doc, born from the passion and friendship of four young people united, after various studies, from the desire to get involved and have a few bottles of Classic Method to offer to their friends and relatives for graduation celebrations, an idea that went beyond their expectations.
With the 2012 vintage they managed to bottle their first bottles and in 2016, after 36 months of aging, they presented their Cuvée n ° 1. Every year they produce a Trento Doc which represents the maximum expression of the vintage, a vintage that brings back label the vintage number produced since their inception.
ETYSSA derives from Etisa, the name in ancient German of the Adige, the river that contributed to the formation of the orography and climatic conditions suitable for the production of high quality Classic Method.
The vineyards, 100% Chardonnay, are located in the municipality of Trento, on the slopes of Monte Calisio (1,097m asl), 500m asl, between the localities of Mojà, Tavernaro and Villamontagna, in the heart of the Trentodoc production area, where the climate Mediterranean meets fresh alpine currents.
The vegetative period is characterized by strong temperature changes between day and night thanks to the upward currents of the surrounding mountains. Particular is also the soil on which they grow their vineyards: dolomitic of glacial origin with a prevalent, deep, fresh and well-drained skeleton. The coexistence of these conditions generates an ideal environment for the production of grapes intended for second fermentation.
